The St. Johns Parade is the oldest and only all-donation and volunteer parade! Since 1963, people from near and far have looked forward to the marking the start of summer at the St. Johns Parade. Many families have their favorite viewing spot and many who have moved away come home for this special weekend to watch the floats, bands, drill teams, and horses. Parade participants from the early years are now watching their children and grandchildren as they march or ride the parade route.

  • Pre-Parade

    Neighborhood Cleanup!

    Join your neighbors and local businesses in a community clean-up to prepare downtown St. Johns for all the upcoming festivities.


    Thursday, May 8

    10 A.M. - 12 P.M.


    Meet at iQ St. Johns Branch (8191 N Lombard St.). Local non-profit, Our Streets, will provide cleaning materials.

  • We Need Volunteers!

    At least 100 volunteers are needed for barricade support to ensure our staging area and parade route remain free and clear. Watch the parade while also ensuring the safety of our participants!

Pick up a commemorative parade pin at any of the following neighborhood locations. Pins are $7 and all proceeds benefit the Parade so the committee can continue to organize this community event for years to come.
